I have owned the UN55B6000 for about a year. The picture is fabulous. I saw the UN40B6000 at Sears on clearance today. After all the discounts the final cost was only $435. OMG it was the last one and I had to buy it. Picture is GREAT! Look for a good deal since these are last years model. The 2010 UN40C5000 is selling for at least $899 and it is not 120HZ. -- Great Price!!

Ordered the Samsung LED from Modia. The first one came in cracked by the shipper. With a very good service department and excellent assistant manager at Modia was able to replace the Samsung LED. I have seen other flat screens and I had my hesitations about the new flat screens. I'm impressed with the LED with it's sharpness and brightness and the easiness of operation. The adaptability of the other devices is amazing. I will be using Modia again for my next purchase. Thank you, MODIA

It really does provide a great picture and all the inputs you could ever need. Easy to setup my Logitech Harmony 1000 to control it. -- Beautiful picture

I purchased this set from [...] for $899.00 (after $300 coupon) and received it last week. First of all, it's a pleasure to just look at this set on the stand. It looks stunning. Turn it on, and it will blow you away. Setup was quick (maybe 10 minutes tops, including installation of the base). I am using Amazon HDMI cables ($6). Picture quality is superb. Cable channels look amazing. Even cable news channels look like a piece of art! Pop a blue-ray disk, and the clarity of picture will blow you away. The TV is extremely thin. Sound quality is pretty good (I don't agree with previous reviewers). Samsung menu system is pretty organized and easy to use. I haven't tried the network option, so I can't comment on that.
The superior quality of the picture takes some toll on movies. Most movies lose their "movie look". It is like watching a show on broadway. I guess this is the problem with HD. You can adjust the mode and play with the settings to somewhat decrease this effect, but it will take time to get used to it.
there are multiple options for changing the settings. You can change picture mode, color warmth, darkness, black level, and many more settings.
Overall, this is a technological masterpiece at a bargain price. If you are looking for a TV with superior quality and technology without breaking the bank, get this one. You won't regret it.

UPDATE (April 13, 2010): I did some research on movies losing their "movie-look" and looking like soap-opera. This is mostly related to 120 Hz effect. If you turn off this option, movies look more natural. -- Looks amazing, even when it's off!

I just got this lovely thang yesterday. I have not played with it that much, but I have done enough to provide a decent review. My main concern with this purchase was that it is 60 Hz. Now that there is 120 and 240, I was not sure if getting 60 was smart. I read a review some where that pointed out that most PC monitors are 60 Hz. My 25 inch monitor is 60 Hz and the picture looks beautiful when I'm playing games or watching movies so I said wth. Last night I watched a NBA game and put on a few movies with intense action scenes... no image blur whatsoever. I love the look of this television and the fact that it is super thin. The controls on the tv itself are touch controls. There are no actual buttons to press. As far as HD goes...the picture, color, and clarity are unbelievable. The picture is so detailed that some of your favorite stars don't look so hot once you see them in HD. I will be purchasing some sort of sound system for this tv. My PC has a Logitech 2.1 speaker system and I have become spoiled. The sound from this tv is decent but falls way short of what I like. The only real complaint I have about this tv is that the allshare feature which allows you to stream music and video from your PC requires a Samsung USB wireless link which is a little over $70 (unless you hardwire it). I'm sure a regular wireless USB adapter could have done the trick but Samsung forces you to use theirs (which they fail to mention). I really feel that wireless should have been built into the tv in the first place but enough with that rant! Finally, I have to give it to Amazon. Their price was the best anywhere...that's not including the fact that there was no shipping charge. -- Looks great even when its off!

Bought this from Frys for about hundred dollar less than what Amazon was selling.

Why the 4star rating?

My old CRT TV with Convertor box picked up 25 channels over the air and yet, the brand new TV only picked up 10 channels and that was disappointing.

Pros:
1. TV brings excellent picture quality for the price(1199 bones).
2. excellent sound and I don't need a home theater system.
3. setting-up was easy.
4. was able to connect my PC via an VGA Monitor Cable with 3.5mm Audio and I can watch videos or surf the web with ease "SVGA Monitor Cable with 3.5mm Audio"


Cons:
1. Does not pick up all of the over the air digital channels.

I have yet to test the TV on a blu-ray player or the PS3 system.

I haven't noticed any difference between 60Hz and the 120Hz on the TVs. That was weighing on my mind the most when I purchased this TV but it has not been an issue. -- Bought this from Frys for 1199 and is an excellent TV with little drawbacks

I received my new tv from Amazon.com last Friday. I've spent a whole weekend enjoying HD glory. My movies look fabulous and my video games are crystal clear with great images and vivid colors. Revenge of the Sith, The Two Towers, Bioshock 2 and Battlefield all look spectacular. Battlefield: Bad Company becomes larger than life on this unit. While the frame rate is at 60, I didn't find this to be a problem when playing fast paced shooters. I'm not sure that the $800 for another similar Samsung unit with a higher refresh would have been worth it.

The tv is easy to mount on the free stand that comes with the unit. The 1.25" depth is a true wonder. The sound is excellent, but I live in an apartment in a major city.

The menus are nice, everything is easy to find and the ports in the back are a cinch to use when connecting inputs/outputs. After connecting my XBox to my Windows Media Center, I was able to view some really stunning HD movies over the network. I was truly amazed at the quality of the images. The models I'd seen in Best Buy and other stores were nice, but I'm glad I waited to get one of the new 2010 models.

I'm looking forward to getting a PS3 and using it as a Blu Ray player for movies & documentaries.

Amazon offered a great price on this and the shipping/delivery went very smoothly. Nothing but praises for Samsung and Amazon.com!

Gamers should be prepared to fork out extra money for a good HDMI cable. The cost is well worth it. -- marvelous!

I ordered this TV for my restaurant after some research. Ordered from Amazon. The TV is great. Crystal Clear picture. I hooked it up to an over the air antenna, and get about 24 digital channels. The supplier for these TV's is another story. They called me and said they were out of stock and wanted to substitute another TV, I said OK, I need a TV, the next day, that TV was suddenly unavailable, but for $300 more I could upgrade. I had had enough at this point and told them to just cancel the order and refund my money. The next day the first TV I ordered showed up!. I think Amazon needs to look into these characters, this is the first Amazon purchase I felt uneasy that I might be getting ripped off. Scary, yes, but fortunately it all worked out in the end. -- Great TV - But

Love it, picture is great. I use this as 3rd computer monitor at work for large group reviews, as well as occasionally a TV. People are blown away by the HD picture from an antenna.

I also purchased the dedicated Samsung hanging hardware looking for a slim look. Paid a fortune but it was supper easy to install. Look on U-tube for a 7 min video which goes through the hanging process, the included instructions are poor. You can thank me later.
One nit picking complaint, I had an outlet installed on wall. The power cord is now way too long and makes the TV stick out from the wall more than it is supposed to.
As to 120 vs. 240 in the store you can see a difference as you can see with edge vs. backlit LED. For my purpose no reason to pay more when this TV rocks.
Only thought, if this was my only TV and I was a super picky person I would splurge for the 240 and backlit. However, I suggest you go to the store and compare them side to side.
Not like the 120 has a bad picture, the Difference is a great vs. a super picture.
Bottom line,
Great TV good buy.
